Vive tu Puerto Marbella

Every 3d Saturday of the month Marbella´s Puerto Deportivo (the downtown marina) will host live music and entertainment at the event ´Vive tu Puerto´. The first couple of events have been successful and much needed to give life to the port in wintertime. Since the latest reforms of the Marina the summertime has already seen great improvements in the activities and nightlife in the port but wintertime gets a little quiet unfortunately. Hopefully this event will make the port into a hotspot also outside high season.

The last reform has cleaned up the port considerally and especially the front line part has seen major improvements with the opening of bars like Lemmon and several cocktail bars and discos. It seems to me that the business model seems comparable to the popular Puerto Marina in Benalmadena more than to the likes of Puerto Banus. With that i mean that the targeted clients is more of a national and local source than the international clients. This seems sensible as this makes local business less depending on seasonality.

If you are thinking of going a night out and you want to spend considerably less money than in Puerto banus than check out the Puerto Deportivo, it will give you at least the feeling you are in Spain opposed to Puerto Banus where you might feel like you are in the UK.
