Benalmadena Puerto Marina to double in size

Benalmádena´s Puerto marina port will expand in the near future from the current 875 berths to 1700 berths. This will make it the largest marina in Andalucia. The Socialist Mayor of Benalmádena, Javier Carnero has reported that the regional council agreed to the expansion plans and the green light is given

The marinaIt will take over an additional 38 hectares offshore, and a new 26,000 square metre dock will allow for 19000 square metres of buildings for more shops and leisure facilities.

  1. We can expect a crap load more tourists then? Another sign that tourism is still alive and well in this part of the world!


    • Hi Will, tanks for the reply. It looks like that yes although I have learnt to first see and then believe here in Spain. As long as they aim for quality tourism and not just mass tourism I think these are good signs. Hopefully they will give Puerto Banus the necesarry facelift soon!
